Deborah has thirty years’ experience working in further and higher education. Passionate about using technology for educational excellence, she is the Executive Group Director for Digital Learning Technologies at the Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ and multi-award winning Grimsby Institute.

Steve is a certified Google Trainer and innovator and has delivered presentations and training in the UK and around the world. Steven is the Head of Independent Learning at Leeds City College. Steve brings his passion for learning and the impact technology can have to everything he does. Steve’s teaching background is sport from pre 16 to HE.

A highly motivated and passionate technical Senior Manager with a successful background spanning 15 years in the Further Education sector leading and developing teams across IT, MIS and e-learning disciplines. Commercially-aware and business-led, with a broad range of strategic leadership experience. Strategic approach to successful leadership, engaging with business stakeholders at all levels delivering technology solutions and business process change that meet key strategic objectives.
Simon Kay
Simon Kay
Simon was Head of Teaching and Learning at SGS College and has since widened his responsibilities to become Head of Digital and Professional Development and a member of SLT for the college. He has held this role since 2017, implementing digital strategy for organisation, the focus of which has been the transition of our VLE from Moodle to Teams, the first college in the country to make this journey. He also manages all the reporting services for the organisation. Being head of both professional development and digital means Simon has had the ability to affect change in meaningful way, seeing the developments in the digital world and then implementing change through a combination of communication, people management and training.

Skilled in digital learning strategy, user experience and interactive design Steve provides technical expertise and support around the round the use of technology in learning, leading the introduction, development and integration of innovative emerging digital learning / E-learning methodologies VLE/DLE Micro-Learning, Augmented Reality Mixed & Virtual Reality into current and future educational strategies and training programs.
With over 12 years’ experience of managing a large education based Learning Management System with over 2400 courses and usage figures of 1.3 million page impressions per month.

Phil has Passion for using educational technology to improve the learning experiences for students & staff ensuring that learning is accessible for all. Throughout his career, he has taken advantage of digital teaching and learning tools to drive student collaboration and participation.
He has also worked as a Microsoft Learning Consultant supporting colleges and higher education institutions embrace Microsoft digital tools to improve outcomes for learners. Finally, he is the owner of a successful YouTube channel called Teachblend, which has global reach posting regular content regarding the use of digital tools in education and how to use them.
