Accessibility for Educators

This half a day course is designed for educators to raise their awareness about the new digital accessibility regulations and understand the two different model of disability and its impact on our thinking when designing learning materials.

Teaching staff will identify barriers to learning and explore the range of features and tools available, including features within Windows 10 and the Office 365 suite to help create an accessible and inclusive learning environment.

Who is it for?

The course is aimed at raising awareness about digital access in education. Not only is it our moral and ethical duty to create an accessible and inclusive learning environment, it is now a legal requirement with recent new legislation introduced.

This course covers the new legislation and creates awareness about the different models of disability and what tools are available to support all learners with different learning needs.
